Finally have intrawebs

Sun Jul 5, 2009, 6:28 AM
So I was out of town for a week after not being very active on dA (yet again) and then when i get back my internets are shut off. FOR THREE WEEKS!

Eventually I got my moms boyfriend to pay the three months of backlog and got it back on.
First thing i did: Went to Verizonwireless.com and checked about getting a new phone.

I bet you're all wondering, all three of you, what phone i got.

BLACKBERRY STORM for only 49.99! Booya! I've had it for three days and i'm addicted to it.

ITS AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE IT!

anywho, since i can now use my phone for talking to people i'll need something to do on the computer fron now on. Besides the little i do on Facebook, i'm going to be going through the 275 deviations and 182 messages that i have backlogged.

(also, does anybody want to clue me in on whats changed around dA since i left? @.@)

Adventures in K/Ubuntu

Wed May 27, 2009, 4:49 AM
Just want to say:
Linux > Windows

Argue if you will, but I will admit that I'm going to keep windows on my computer.

Anywho, to the beginning of this story; Many many viri and a lot of neglect to my computer resulted in something getting in and wreaking havoc on my XP's registry, so after many hours of trying to cure it i decided that i would take the easy way out and just blank the HDD and reinstall windows (i just save everything to my xhdd anyway, so wasnt losing anything).
So while I was procrastinating the reinstall process, i installed Kubuntu and Ubuntu to my computer. At first they were very confusing since i only had a little familiarity with them from many many months before. After a little fiddling with both, i found both to be much more appealing than windows.

I wont lie, my favorite part about Linux is that it has multiple 'workspaces' that you can utilize as, basically, one large windows or mac screen that has multiple areas. Think of it as having four of the same monitors on one computer and being able to keep each separate and running independent from the others unless you so wish to transfer something between them. It's beautiful and much more organized. (yea, i understand that probably made no sense

Either way, I might think about becoming more active on here (though not by much) when I get settled into my new configurations. Especially since it's now my summer vacation and I have until my birthday (also the first day of school) as free time.

If you are interested in seeing my desktop in Ubuntu, here's a link --> [link]

And also, if you are interesting in Ubuntu [link] , Kubuntu [link] , or Linux in general try here --> [link]

(P.S. Ubuntu is more of a mac style in appearance, but more minimalistic. Kubuntu is more like Vista, but actually useful.)

Now it's time to bid adieu; Tis 5:48 and sleep has not come since much earlier yesterday.

Papers for the greater good or A New Common Sense

Wed Feb 18, 2009, 5:12 PM
Today in chem was horrid.. Not the kind of horrid that normal people relate Chemistry to. No, not nearly that simple. The horidity of my day in chem was the ignorance of modern humanity. While in that same class I had a pushing notion, An assignment for the class.

What im getting around to saying is that I want to write some very informative persuasive essays. One topic that I really believe needs to be known is that sex is NOT the highest form of love between people. This among many various topics would compose most of my papers.

My question for all of you: I do believe that I could make a better persuasion with help from others. If anyone is willing to help me in research or review, I would greatly appreciate it. Another way to help is by suggesting subjects that I could write about.

Anywho, Thanks to all those who read my journals; You will not soon be forgotten.
